Life becomes more worth living when you know that a reward is bound to come your way for every good thing you do.
By now, you know that changing an unhealthy habit is possible only if you really put your heart and mind into it. The last but definitely not least tool for completely freeing yourself from your bad habits is learning to reward yourself for every accomplishment that you make.
Through meaningful rewards, you can be more motivated to do better the next day. You will strive harder to ensure that you get another great reward in the future. With this kind of inspiration and motivation, you will have the drive to become better and better every day as you finish your journey to health and wellness.
At Better Breast Health, we specialize in helping our clients get on the right track by assessing breast problems and setting up easy solutions to accomplish their goals. Becoming free of worry about such things as breast pain, lumpy areas, or even dense breast tissue seems like a reward in and of itself. However, it is so easy to get busy with life and forget to incorporate the ideas you have been shown. But with a good reward system in place, it makes it so much easier to stay on track.
Here's why...
Every Accomplishment Deserves a Good Reward
Reward systems are being used in many situations today, at home, in schools, and even in workplaces. A reward system is considered a helpful tool for people to simply do better. It motivates children to do their chores at home. Students learn to embrace their lessons better and complete their homework because they know that they will be rewarded for everything that they do.
Employees feel more valued and appreciated when their employer rewards them for their achievements. Reward systems can undoubtedly do wonders in inspiring people to strive for better. Rewarding yourself for every accomplishment can inspire you to progress and finish what you have started.
Maybe you were able to say no to sugar this week, knowing that sugar feeds cancer in the body. But the weekend comes, and there is temptation after temptation every step of the way. What differentiates those who say no and those who give in?
The answer is to begin with making a good-quality decision, knowing why you have made that decision, and, last but not least, setting up a reward system that motivates YOU.
Those rewards will be up to you. You can either set it for yourself or ask your family and friends to give you something for every accomplishment you make. The main point here is that you will get something good out of resisting the lure of your temptation.
If you're having trouble figuring out a reward, a good system is to know what motivates you. Try searching online or in your local library for the "Five Love Languages" book by Gary Smalley. If you have never read his book, it is great and helpful in many areas of your life. You can take a simple quiz to determine your unique love language(s). This will allow you to understand that a handwritten note from your husband is the best motivation for you or perhaps small gifts are more to your liking. Another great book is "Get Motivated" by Tamara Lowe. These books tell what motivates you to follow through and accomplish your goals. Take a look and learn more about yourself and what motivates you. Who knows, a personal note from your husband might be just the ticket to keep you going! Studies have shown that it has become a habit if you can keep up that quality decision every day for 27 days. I don't know about you, but I can do just about anything for 27 days in a row.
At the end of the day, it is not the reward that matters. What matters is that even if there is no reward, it will now be easier for you to say NO in the future if you begin to develop the habit today. This is because you have already accepted it in your heart and mind that your bad habits will never do you any good. Letting them go is the only way for you to live the kind of life you want.
Live the life that you deserve.
